At TIP, the team you meet with is the team that you’ll work with, from inception to completion. There is no hand-off to the junior squad. Our core group is lean and nimble, backed by a stable of creative partners and fabricators who help us deliver results on time, and on budget every time.

  • If you were not working in design, what would you be doing?
  • Working at a small letterpress shop.

  • Peanut butter and crispy bacon on toast.
  • What inspires you?
  • Seeing my daughter on stage performing.
  • What is your favourite part of the job?
  • Working with the printer, checking the job as it's rolling off the end of the press... making those on the spot tweaks to perfect the final results. I also love being on-site installing graphics and working with the team to solve the inevitable unforeseen obstacles that always pop up.
  • What is your dream project?
  • To finally finish the illustrated Kid's Alphabet Book I started 25 years ago.

  • I'm an Army Brat so a little bit of everywhere…England, Germany, various places in Canada. Ottawa was a hub.

  • Barbies & Lego.

  • My peeps. My animals. My morning coffee!
  • What is something you despise?
  • Bullies…hurt my heart. High heels...hurt my feet. Red wine…hurts my head.
  • What do you collect?
  • Art, silk scarves, vintage bits & pieces.

  • KTEL Record – Dynamite circa 1974. Blondie – Parallel Lines. XTC – Making Plans for Nigel.
  • What is your secret talent?
  • I have a photographic memory…a bonus of being dyslexic.

  • Continuing to climb the corporate ladder in the world of finance.

  • Pizza & Strongbow followed by coconut cupcakes & Prosecco.

  • I’m mesmerized by the chaotic beauty of nature & I’m heartened by the kindness of strangers.

  • To collaborate with my daughter on developing a fashion brand.

  • Vintage ephemera, taxidermy birds, house plants.

  • Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Jungle, and anything 70’s funk.

  • Waking up 5 minutes before my alarm goes off.
  • If you were not working in design, what would you be doing?
  • I’d probably own a little oddities shop filled with strange stuff like taxidermy, skulls, and weird local art.
  • What would your last meal on earth be?
  • Homemade pizza and a sour beer.
  • What inspires you?
  • What inspires me most is having a wide range of interests and the curiosity to follow them. I cram my brain full of books and podcasts, challenge myself to try new activities, and spend a lot of time in different environments.

  • Every day is different. There are always new projects to get excited about, unique challenges to solve, and evolving technologies and design trends to keep on top of.
  • What is your dream project?
  • I’d love to illustrate an entire set of children’s encyclopedias!
